JAI Acquires TVI Vision

To strengthen its position in the prism-based line-scan camera industry, machine vision camera manufacturer JAI Inc. of San Jose, Calif., has acquired TVI Vision Oy of Helsinki. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Under JAI’s umbrella, TVI Vision, a manufacturer of line-scan cameras for industrial machine vision applications, will continue to operate as an independent entity with its own sales channel and production base in Helsinki.
