DataLase has published a brochure on its Casemark process, which is an alternative to print-and-apply labels targeted to sectors that require printing variable information on outer case secondary packaging. The noncontact imaging technique eliminates the need for label and ribbon consumables and offers high-resolution bar-code and late pack customization capability. There are no thermal printheads to replace, and the laser-marked image becomes integral to the package, reducing waste.
