Life science solutions provider Life Technologies Corp. of Carlsbad, Calif., has signed a definitive agreement to acquire AcroMetrix of Benicia, Calif., for an undisclosed amount. The latter is a provider of molecular and serological diagnostic quality control products to clinical laboratories, blood screening centers and in vitro diagnostic manufacturers. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, and Life Technologies does not expect it to have a material effect on its financials in fiscal 2010.Read full article
