MKS Adds Optical Sensor Tech with Photon Control Acquisition

ANDOVER, Mass., May 10, 2021 — MKS Instruments will acquire Photon Control Inc., a Canadian developer of optical sensors for temperature control used in semiconductor wafer fabrication. The Mass.-based laser company entered into a definitive agreement with Photon Control, in which it will make the acquisition for approximately $320.17 million (387 million CAD). Photon Control had revenues of $53.8 million (65 million CAD) in 2020.Read full article
