Daniel R. Marshak was appointed vice president and chief scientific officer at PerkinElmer Inc. Marshak joins PerkinElmer from Cambrex Corp., where he was vice president and chief technology officer. He is an adjunct associate professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, an inventor of six series of patents and the author of more than 100 articles and abstracts.
