Microvision Adds Photonics Module Partner

Microvision, a Redmond, Wash., maker of light-scanning technologies for display and imaging products, announced today it has entered into a joint development agreement to use Microvision’s integrated photonics module (IPM) designs for high-volume manufacturing. The IPM is a tiny display engine suitable for a variety of display applications, including ultraminiature laser projectors for mobile phones, laptops and DVD players; other applications include lightweight color eyewear and heads-up displays for automobiles and airplanes.
