NDC Infrared Acquires IRM Group

IRWINDALE, Calif., Aug. 15, 2011 — NDC Infrared Engineering has acquired the IRM Group of Alleur, Belgium, a manufacturer of high-tech measuring systems for the metals industries. Under the agreement, IRM will become aligned within NDC Infrared Engineering worldwide. NDC Infrared Engineering, a part of precision instrumentation and controls company Spectris plc, manufactures noncontact sensors and systems for the measurement of fat, protein, moisture and continuous web process variables, including film thickness and coat weight.
