Optical Storage Consortium Eyes Removable Media for Future DVDs

COSTA MESA, Calif., March 26 -- Irvine Sensors Corp. reports that its Neo-stack packaging technology is being employed in a project to develop a high-speed removable optical storage system for future Digital Versatile Disk (DVD) systems. The Fast Read-out Optical Storage Technology (FROST) system is being developed by an industry-university consortium led by Call/Recall, Inc.
