BOSTON, Oct. 20 -- PerkinElmer Inc. has been selected by Lockheed Martin to provide two critical subsystems for the Joint Common Missile (JCM). The initial contract is for development and prototype work through mid-2005. PerkinElmer's Optoelectronics unit will design and manufacture the firing modules for the electronic safe and arm device fuze system, as well as the power supply for the next-generation precision-strike air-to-ground missile system. Over the life of the program, production contracts for these two subsystems could be in excess of $100 million to meet domestic requirements....Read full articleRelated content from Photonics MediaArticlesAms OSRAM Wraps Digital Systems Business Divestiture: Week in Brief: 04/07/23Electro Optic Systems (EOS) secured a conditional contract to supply remote weapon systems (RWS) to Ukraine valued at up to $80 million.
