Philippe Morin will become chief operating officer of fiber communications firm Exfo Inc. in November. Morin will leave his post at Ciena Corp. as its senior vice president of worldwide sales and field operations. He was previously the senior vice president of the global products group at Ciena, and held a number of leadership roles at Nortel Networks Corp., including president of metro Ethernet networks and vice president and general manager of optical networks. Morin brings more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry to his new position. Morin will be responsible for the company's global sales, market development, marketing, product management and technology strategy. Exfo designs and manufactures test assurance instruments for fixed telecom networks including optical, transport, datacom, 3G, LTE, copper, xDSL, IMS and VoIP test platforms.
