Pitt Receives NSF Award to Develop Exoskeleton Sensors for Spinal Cord Injuries

PITTSBURGH, March 20, 2017 — Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh have received an award from the National Science Foundation’s Cyber-Physical Systems program to enable the development of an ultrasound sensor system at the heart of a hybrid exoskeleton that uses both electrical nerve stimulation and external motors.
