Shubham Chandel, a doctoral candidate studying biomedical optics at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, has been named the recipient of this year’s Teddi C. Laurin Scholarship. Chandel’s areas of study include light scattering and polarimetry in biophotonics research.
