The innovative Ruler E 3D Camera, along with Sick’s software program, will be used to enhance the sorting accuracy of the APPS. The 3D camera determines double packages, package position, and package dimensions / orientation. This innovation enables the APPS Sorter to more accurately process the diverse mailstream of the USPS, improving quality of service. The singulation verification and object detection solution can be used in a variety of fields, such as the courier, express and parcel delivery business or in the retail industry.
