High-brightness LED light manufacturer Smart Vision Lights has expanded its European and Asian sales and support operations with a new U.K. office and the addition of Tony Carpenter as its business development manager. Carpenter spent the last 35 years in technical sales positions in a number of large and small high-tech companies. His background includes work with Marconi, Bicc-Vero, FKI, Dowty, Texas Instruments, Teradyne and Infrared Integrated Systems. Carpenter started working in the machine vision business as part of the management team of Gardasoft. “We’re very pleased to have someone of Tony Carpenter’s caliber heading up our European and Asian expansion efforts,” said David Spaulding, president of Smart Vision Lights. “Tony represents Smart Vision Lights’ ongoing commitment and increased investment in European and Asian machine vision, intelligent transportation and related markets.” Carpenter holds a Scottish Technical Education Council certificate from Lauder Technical College in Dunfermline, Scotland.
