SpectralSight Receives Grant from NSF

The National Science Foundation has awarded a nearly $500,000 Phase II Small Business Innovation Research grant to SpectralSight, a company spun off by Infotonics Technology Center, both of Canandaigua, N.Y. The grant will be used to develop a hyperspectral miniature camera based on a tunable Fabry-Perot microelectromechanical systems device that is being developed at the center. The camera will analyze wavelengths outside the visible spectrum and will have applications in medicine, agriculture and defense.Read full article
