Beginning with the first issue of 2008, the weekly journal Applied Physics Letters has included the section heading “Organic Electronics and Photonics” in its table of contents to provide a common field for manuscripts in this category. Original, theoretical and experimental research articles on the physics and engineering of new materials and device concepts for organic electronics and optoelectronics are grouped under the heading. The periodical has published papers on topics such as organic light-emitting devices, thin-film transistors, memories, capacitors, photodiodes and photovoltaic cells. Published by the American Institute of Physics, it is available in print and online.
