Tektronix Acquiring Minacom

BEAVERTON, Ore., Nov. 6, 2006 -- Tektronix Inc., a maker of test, measurement and monitoring equipment for the communications, computer and semiconductor industries, today announced it is acquiring Minacom, a provider of active probe test solutions used by telecommunications carriers, cable multisystem operators (MSOs) and wireless and voice over IP (VoIP) providers, for $27 million. Tektronix said it expects the acquisition of Montreal-based Minacom to close within 30 days and for the deal to be immaterial to its bottom line for the fiscal year.
