TowerJazz Moving into Commercial IR Market

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 19, 2013 — Integrated circuit maker TowerJazz said Wednesday it will move into high-volume, commercial infrared wafer manufacturing and expand its presence in some consumer markets. The company said it will be the CMOS chip manufacturer for traditional infrared applications, such as sensing and camera devices, for aerospace and defense customers, and will expand in consumer markets it already serves, including gaming, personal security and application-driven platforms. “This development is a natural fit for TowerJazz.
