Xicato Issued Patents on Corrected Cold Phosphor Technology

SAN JOSE, Calif., June 6, 2011 — Solid-state lighting manufacturer Xicato has announced the receipt of two patent issuances from the US Patent Office. Patent 7942556 addresses fundamental aspects of Corrected Cold Phosphor Technology used in the company’s LED module products. A key differentiating aspect of the technology is the separation of various phosphors within a light-mixing chamber, with one type used on a side wall and another on a top element.
