Renishaw Launches Subsidiary

The global metrology and spectroscopy company Renishaw has opened a subsidiary in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico, to support its expanding customer base in Mexico and Central America. Alejandro Silva C., the founder and former owner of Metric Precision Group of Mexico, a distributor of Renishaw’s metrology products, will serve as director and general manager of the new operation. “We see significant potential for our business in Mexico, where sectors such as automotive and electronics are showing good growth,” said Ben Taylor, Renishaw’s assistant chief executive. The subsidiary will focus on supporting technologies for motion control, measuring systems and machine tools.
