RoboSense Named a 2019 CES Innovation Honoree for Lidar Advancement

RoboSense has been named a CES 2019 Innovation Awards Honoree for its RS-IPLS Intelligent Perception lidar system.

An annual program that celebrates outstanding design, the CES Innovation Awards recognize honorees across 28 product categories. A panel of judges, including designers, engineers, and members of the technology media, reviews submissions based on design, functionality, consumer appeal, engineering, and how the products compare with competition.

The RS-IPLS system uses high-performance microelectromechanical (MEMS) solid-state lidar, producing high-resolution data by merging the underlying 2D imagery hardware with the RoboSense RS-LiDAR-Algorithm specifically for autonomous driving.

The RS-IPLS features the RoboSense RS-LiDAR-Gaze Technology, which initiates a gaze processing mechanism that is continually vigilant and instantly locks in when it perceives a target of interest in its field of view, thus achieving the clearest and most stable environmental data.

The CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association.
