SPI Lasers Set to Expand

SOUTHAMPTON, England — Fiber laser manufacturer SPI Lasers is expanding its headquarters by obtaining another manufacturing property on its site and increasing space by 40,000 sq ft.

The soon-to-be 100,000-sq-ft facility aims to meet the increasing global demand for fiber lasers as versatile industrial manufacturing tools and aid the company’s ambitious growth targets, particularly in the Asian and U.S. markets. The new site will have a mezzanine floor installed to accommodate new offices, product development and training areas, meeting rooms, and a staff canteen. Approximately 20,000 sq ft will be set aside for a cleanroom facility.

This move will allow SPI Lasers to substantially increase the production capacity of their redENERGY pulsed and redPOWER continuous-watt fiber lasers.

SPI Lasers, a wholly owned subsidiary of the TRUMPF Group, is a designer and manufacturer of fiber lasers for use in materials processing applications.
