Energy management and automation specialist Schneider Electric has opened a design and demonstration lab in Raleigh, N.C. Called the Robotics and Motion Center of Excellence, the lab focuses on innovations in AI, digitalization, and automation technologies. The center is located in Schneider Electric’s existing Raleigh Hub facility and will build on the company’s existing workforce in the area. The lab will allow industry professionals to explore automation technologies firsthand and collaborate with experts to optimize production, competitiveness, and increase operational profitability. Partners visiting the lab will be able to experience the latest software and hardware solutions, Schneider Electric said. The facility’s opening is part of Schneider Electric’s recently announced U.S. investment plan to support the nation’s energy and AI infrastructure, boost domestic manufacturing, and strengthen national energy security. The investment plan is expected to create more than 1000 jobs nationwide.
