Schumacher Named CFO at Jenoptik

JENA, Germany, March 6, 2015 — Hans-Dieter SchumacherThe supervisory board of Jenoptik AG has appointed Hans-Dieter Schumacher chief financial officer effective April 1.

Schumacher will succeed Rudiger Andreas Gunther, whose contract is expiring.

CEO Michael Mertin said Schumacher’s background in international machine and medical engineering industries “will be an essential complement to Jenoptik’s management structures.”

Schumacher currently is CFO of Homag Group AG, where he has been in charge of the finance, information technology and human resources departments since 2011. Before, he was CFO for Sto, a construction materials manufacturer, from 2003 to 2010.

After having studied business administration, Schumacher was active in various leading commercial positions for Villeroy & Boch, Mannesmann Handel and Aesculap.

Jenoptik, which in 2013 generated about €600 million in sales, operates in five divisions: lasers and material processing, optical systems, industrial metrology, traffic solutions, and defense and civil systems. Customers include companies in the semiconductor, automotive, medical technology and aviation industries.
