MARLBOROUGH, Mass., May 28, 2025 — IPG Photonics appointed Mira Sahney senior vice president of global laser systems, a newly created position. Most recently, Sahey served as president of a pelvic health operating unit at Medtronic. She additionally served as president and CEO of Hyalex Orthopaedics, a medical device company.
NORTHBROOK, Ill. — Abhishek Khandelwal, senior vice president and CFO of IDEX Corporation, has resigned, the company shared in a regulatory filing. Khandelwal plans to leave the company this week. IDEX appointed Akhil Mahendra interim CFO. He has been with the company for approximately two years, serving as vice president of corporate development.

GRENOBLE, France — Scintil Photonics, a producer of laser-integrated photonics technology, appointed Jim Theodoras vice president of product development. Theodoras most recently served as vice president of engineering at QXP Technologies. He has more than 35 years of industry experience in electronics and optics, including at Texas Instruments, Cisco, and ADVA Optical Networking. The move comes as Scintil prepares for commercial product launch.
DURHAM, N.C. — Wolfspeed Inc appointed David Emerson executive vice president and chief operating officer. Emerson previously served as the vice president of Wolfspeed’s LED products division.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — SynVivo, an organ-on-chip company, named Richard Eglen a non-executive member of its board of directors. Eglen has held senior roles at Corning, PerkinElmer, DiscoverX, and Roche. Most recently, he served as a senior advisor to Arsenal Capital Partners. SynVivo is developing microfluidic platforms that replicate human tissue microenvironments for drug discovery.
