SensiVida Medical Technologies Inc. of Henrietta, N.Y., a developer of digital painless diagnostic technologies and devices, has appointed Sidney Braginsky to its board of directors. Braginsky has been president, CEO and chairman of the board of Atropos Technology LLC since 2009. Atropos is the majority shareholder of Digilab LLC, the former molecular spectroscopy division of Bio-Rad, which was acquired by Atropos in 2001. He also served as president of optical products supplier Olympus America Inc. from 1994 to 1999 and as chairman of the International Standards Organization’s Optics and Electro-Optical Systems. SensiVida is developing new diagnostic tools based on microfluidic, nanoarraying solid-state technologies.
