Nikon Inc. is soliciting entries for its 25th Annual Nikon International Small World Photo Competition.
Each participant may submit up to three 35-mm transparencies of photos taken through a light microscope. Digitally captured photos are accepted, although they must be submitted in 35-mm slide format. Entries will be judged on visual impact, technical proficiency and informational content. All varieties of specimens will be accepted.
The contest deadline is June 30, 1999. Winners will be announced in November in New York City. Winning entries will be featured in a Nikon calendar and will be part of a traveling exhibition in 2000.
