Solid State Acquires Pacer Technologies

Solid State PLC has announced the acquisition of Pacer Technologies Ltd. and its subsidiaries, Pacer Components Ltd. and Pacer USA LLC.

Solid State is an AIM-listed manufacturer of computing, power, and communications products, and a value-added distributor of electronic components.

As a well-established specialist distributor of optoelectronic components, lasers, and displays, Pacer’s business complements and enhances that of the Solid State group.

Pacer focuses on value-added component distribution and custom design, and the acquisition will enable the enlarged group to further design and manufacture its own brand products for distribution utilizing Pacer’s recent investment in a new value-added production facility in Weymouth.

Pacer is a distributor of optoelectronic components, lasers, and displays to the OEM market in the medical, military, commercial, industrial, and security sectors.
