Stainless Steel Iris Diaphragms Available in New Sizes
Knight Optical have added four new stainless steel Iris Diaphragms to their portfolio of products offering our customers more options for smooth continuous aperture control in imaging, microscope and photography applications
The role of the Iris diaphragm is to control the passage of light in optical systems.. As the blades slide sideways across each other the aperture can open or close allowing more or less light through.
Iris diaphragms are used in modern photography and microscopic equipment and are valuable components in general laboratory, medical, military, security applications as well as other sectors that use photographic technologies.
Stainless steel Iris diagrams are protected from corrosion in normal atmospheric conditions and offer an enhanced resistance to temperature, benefitting high intensity applications up to 400°C.
We also supply Iris diaphragms with blackened sprung steel leaves which reduce reflection. With a fully closing dual leaf these offer complete blocking.
Knight Optical (UK) Limited has been a global leader in the production and distribution of scientific optical components for 22 years. We supply optical components to worldwide companies within the scientific, defence, medical, pharmaceutical, opto-electronic industries.
