Ghost Optics Inc, a new company with a new idea, has found a way to monitor photons in the ethereal-spectrum (ES). The ethereal-spectrum is a relatively new discovery made by Ghost Optics founder Vlad Smart. Smart says that the ES exists parallel to the known spectrum and has remained undetectable to this point. The undetectable nature of the ES is about to change thanks to Smart and his incredible discovery. As a child, Smart witnessed what he believed to be gargoyles behind him while reflecting in a pond one day. While he could see the gargoyles in the pond, he could not see them in reality. From that moment he devoted his life to finding and revealing these gargoyles. As an adult, Smart was able to run tests on that pond water to determine the special optical properties of the bacteria living within. He discovered photoexpressive life — much like bioluminescent phytoplankton — living inside this pond water. The specific photoexpressions given by this life revealed an alternate spectrum of functional light, now known to be ES. Smart has since named this photoexpressive life Ethereallux. Come to find out the gargoyles of Smart’s obsession were actually ethereal, spectral beings otherwise known as ghosts. Dismayed, having disproven his own gargoyle theories, Smart was pleasantly surprised to have discovered ghosts. He then went on to grow his own Ethereallux, in his bedroom closet, for the purpose of researching ethereal life. In the years that followed, Smart had perfected the Ethereallux growth process and fashioned them into wearable-tech in the form of goggles. He had hoped to call them Gargoggles, but settled on the less-catchy name of Ghosggles instead. In the future, Smart hopes to expand his Ethereallux technology into other goggles. While he hasn’t given up hope of ever finding gargoyles, he continues to look in other directions for other ethereal beings. Ghost Optics is currently field-testing Sasquaggles, Chupacaggles, and even Mother-in-Lawggles. Assuming those three products will all push the market, Smart plans to branch out into the creation of April Fools’ Day joke articles.
