LOS ANGELES and NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 6 -- Trestle Acquisition Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Sunland Entertainment Co. Inc., announced it has acquired the assets of Trestle Corp., a provider of digital tissue imaging and network medicine applications to the life sciences market. The acquisition provides Sunland with Trestle's bio-informatics platform, software, company trademarks and other intellectual property. Financial terms of the transaction included $1.25 million cash and assumption of certain liabilities.
Trestle's products, MedReach and MedMicroscopy, link users with each other, with information databases and with analytical tools. Trestle customers include Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, University of California San Francisco, the US Army, Pfizer Inc., Aventis Pharmaceuticals, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, The Ohio State University, the Scott and White Hospitals and Clinics and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ministry of Defense and Aviation.
