Sydor Optics, a manufacturer of precision optical components such as beamsplitters, DWDM substrates, filters, light pipes, light-weighted substrates, mirrors, wafers, wedges and windows has completed the acquisition and set-up of additional double-sided equipment which increases its production capacity by 50%.

This equipment capacity increase coupled with a new 12" Fisba Optik interferometer is to better serve the increasing demand for parts that are flat to fractional wave and parallel to within seconds of arc such as grating substrates and wafers.

This equipment procurement is part of Sydor Optic's business plan to better fulfill the increasing needs of current customers, which represented the bulk of the 44% increase in sales for fiscal year 2001 in comparison with fiscal year 2000.
