Synergis Partners with Leica Geosystems on Laser Scanning for Architecture, Construction

Synergis Engineering Design Solutions has partnered with Leica Geosystems of Switzerland to develop high-definition surveying laser scanning equipment for the capture, modeling and visualization of 3D spatial information.

The partnership will combine the technologies of both companies into turnkey solutions for firms looking to leverage point cloud data for factory layout optimization, class detection and building renovation.

"Partnering with Leica Geosystems enables us to provide customers access to industry-leading high-definition scanners, known for their accuracy, durability, speed and cleanliness of data," said Kristen Tomasic, divisional vice president at Synergis. "This is a natural extension of our current Autodesk product offering, providing crucial information for engineering design in areas such as building layout, mapping, conceptual design and renovation."

Synergis Engineering Design Solutions is a division of Synergis Technologies LLC. It provides design automation and professional services to architects, engineering and civil design firms, manufacturers, construction companies, the education community, and the public sector.

Leica Geosystems produces products and systems for surveying and geographical measurement.
