Synopsys to Acquire Qtronic
Synopsys has signed a definitive agreement to acquire automotive software simulation company Qtronic GmbH.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including foreign regulatory filings. The transaction is expected to close in Synopsys’ fourth quarter of fiscal year 2019. The terms of the deal have not disclosed.
The acquisition of Qtronic strengthens Synopsys’ position within the virtual prototyping software field, said Manoj Gandhi, general manager of the Synopsys Verification Group.
