TOPTICA Photonics Opens Facilities in China
Laser developer and producer TOPTICA has expanded into China with a head office in Shanghai and a branch in Beijing to provide sales, service, and application support for its full range of technologies.
TOPTICA Photonics China was established to serve the needs of the Chinese academic and industrial sectors in the markets of quantum technologies, biophotonics, materials processing, and test and measurement, and joins offices in Germany, the U.S., and Japan.

Juergen Stuhler, chairman of the board of directors and general manager of TOPTICA Photonics China, said the company can now offer customers in China direct sales and services for picosecond and femtosecond seeders.
“We now have the ability to support and supply customers in the areas of quantum technology, tunable and single-frequency diode lasers, frequency combs, wavemeters, light engines for laser light microscopy, and terahertz systems for industrial metrology and security applications,” he said.
TOPTICA was founded in 1998 near Munich, and built its reputation on delivering high-end specifications.
