DITZINGEN, Germany, Oct. 23, 2025 — At the close of the fiscal year 2024/2025, the TRUMPF Group posted a decline in revenue of 16% to €4.3 billion ($5 billion), compared to the previous year’s revenue of €5.2 billion. Order intake fell less sharply, to €4.2 billion, representing a decrease of 7% over the previous year.

“We are seeing cautious signs of improvement,” said CEO Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller. “For example, our order intake has not decreased for several months and is stabilizing at a level that is still undeniably too low.”

Leibinger-Kammüller expressed cautious optimism for the current fiscal year, ending June 30, 2026. She noted opportunities in individual markets and business areas. “These include, for example, electromobility, semiconductors, and electronics, as well as our smart factories and services in the machine tools sector,” she said. “Overall, it is to be expected that many customers will renew their machinery after a long period and will also take advantage of our offerings in the areas of networked manufacturing and artificial intelligence.”

Against the backdrop of the geopolitical situation, TRUMPF has also decided, following discussions among its shareholders and on the managing board, to make technologies for defense solutions available to its customers in the future. Discussions are currently underway with industrial partners in Germany to elaborate the details.

Related to this, TRUMPF announced a strategic partnership with Rohde & Schwarz to develop a solution for drone defense. The collaboration combines Rohde & Schwarz’s drone defense solution in the field of electromagnetics and radar sensing technology with TRUMPF’s laser technology.

“Our laser technology, our expertise in beam guidance and shaping, and our internally anchored supply chain of system-critical subcomponents offer a highly innovative solution for drone defense,” said Hagen Zimer, TRUMPF's board member responsible for laser technology.

The companies reportedly share the desire to provide their technology for purely defensive purposes. The solution the companies are developing will enable the detection, tracking, and defense against the growing threat posed by drones on various platforms.
