Theon International Acquires Stake in Exosens

Theon International has reached an agreement to purchase a 9.8% stake in Exosens SA for €268.7 million ($311 million). Following the transaction’s close, Theon will become the second largest shareholder in Exosens, after Groupe HLD. Both companies are suppliers of defense technologies to NATO armies.

According to reporting from Reuters, the investment was spurred by an uptick in defense orders from NATO members, which are being placed three to four years into the future, rather than one.

The transaction is expected to close early in the first quarter of 2026.

Earlier this year, Theon International made a deal with Kopin Corporation to acquire 49% equity interest in Kopin Europe. The company also acquired Kappa Optronics GmbH, a developer of night vision and thermal imaging technology for defense and security applications.

For Exosens, the transaction comes amid an acquisitive period dating to 2022, during which the company has made nine acquisitions.
