Thorlabs Inc. of Newton, N.J., a designer and manufacturer of equipment for the photonics industry, has announced a new partnership with Cambridge, Mass.-based Boston Micromachines Corp., a provider of advanced microelectromechanical systems-based mirror products. The alliance will enable the latter company to bring its deformable mirrors to the photonics research field.
