Tibidabo Acquires Scientific Imaging Systems Developer Lambert Instruments

Tibidabo Scientific Industries, a developer and supplier of technology for the scientific research, aerospace, and industrial markets, acquired Lambert Instruments BV, a specialist developer and manufacturer of low-light detection and high-speed imaging systems. The acquisition adds to Tibidabo’s scientific and fluorescence imaging portfolio.

Tibidabo acquired Photek Ltd., a manufacturer of image intensifiers, solar blind detectors, photomultipliers, streak tubes, and other associated electronics and camera systems earlier this year.

Lambert solutions are powered by a proprietary software. Over 90% of the Groningen, Netherlands-based company’s sales are exported to customers around the world. Its solutions, Tibidabo said in a press release, have been applied to a range of systems, from cancer cell imaging and measurement to the study of hydrogen/oxygen rocker engines.

Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
