Trumpf Constructing Laser Facility

Trumpf Inc. of Farmington, Conn., a subsidiary of the Trumpf Group of Ditzingen, Germany, has begun construction of a $20 million 83,000-sq-ft development and production building. Solid-state and CO2 laser resonators will be manufactured in the facility, which also will house a laser research lab and development department, and sales and laser marking groups. The company hopes to open the building in early 2008.
