UniKLasers Announces £1M in Funding
EDINBURGH, Scotland, Dec. 6, 2017 — UniKLasers Ltd. has received an investment of £1 million ($1.3 million) from Par Equity, Scottish Investment Bank, the investment arm of Scottish Enterprise and Lancaster Capital.
Using propriety-patented technology, the company manufactures high-precision scientific lasers, which are crucial in holography, semiconductor quality inspections, spectroscopy, biomedical research, wind power generation and other applications.
UniKLasers’ strategic business plan aims to accelerate the company’s access to the addressable market of $1.6 billion per annum by scaling up its manufacturing, fast-tracking sales, strengthening the leadership team and winning volume orders within targeted application sectors.
This additional investment will be applied to execute the company’s business plan for growth, which will see UniKLasers upgrade its manufacturing facilities to increase production and triple its workforce.
