UpNano Hires Erika Bechtold as Company Expands US Presence: People in the News: 03/02/22

ZURICH, March 2, 2022 — ABB has made changes to the leadership of two business areas within the executive committee, effective April 1. Morten Wierod, currently president of motion, will become president of electrification. Tarak Mehta, currently president of electrification, will become president of motion. Mehta and Wierod both joined the company in 1998 and have held various management positions.

BOLTON, Mass. — Optical technology company Headwall Photonics hired Mikhael Jobran as regional sales manager for the Northeastern United States. He has previous experience in sales and applications-development positions at Galaxy Scientific and Teledyne Princeton Instruments.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. — IDEX Corp. appointed Paris Watts-Stanfield to its board of directors. Watts-Stanfield will serve on the board’s audit committee. She currently serves as vice president and CFO, Greater China, at Medtronic.

VIENNA — Additive manufacturing technology company UpNano GmbH added Erika Bechtold as vice president of U.S. operations as it expands its business into the American market. Bechtold is currently the director of technology commercialization at Harvard’s Office for Technology Development. Bechtold will also be involved in supporting ImageBiopsy Lab Inc.
