Vytran Hires Giaretta as R&D Vice President
MORGANVILLE, N.J., May 2, 2011 — Optical fiber splicing and processing solutions supplier Vytran LLC announced it has hired Giorgio Giaretta as vice president of research and development.
Giaretta has more than 15 years of experience developing innovative products for the telecommunications and display industries. In his new position, he will oversee the company’s technical groups worldwide and evolve its products, technologies and processes for optical fiber splicing and glass processing.
Prior to joining the company, Giaretta served as a senior member of the technical staff at Dolby Laboratories, where he led the optical development of a grade-one monitor for the professional movie and broadcast industry. He has also worked at Novalux Inc. and Bandwidth9.
