Xiangyang Song Joins JPSA Laser Engineering Team

Song.jpgXiangyang Song, PhD, has joined the engineering team at JP Sercel Associates (JPSA) in Manchester, N.H. Song, who has more than a decade of experience in applied optics, x-ray, and laser technology and research, joins JPSA’s team of laser scientists as an applications and process engineering specialist. Song will work in ultraviolet (UV) excimer and DPSS (diode pumped, solid-state) materials processing, for areas including wafer singulation, LED lift-off for semiconductor packaging, and micromachining materials for biomedical research and medical products manufacturing. Song previously worked at Argonne National Laboratory and at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he specialized in femtosecond laser research using titanium:sapphire and excimer lasers. He earned his PhD from Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
