AFL Telecommunications (Booth 3033), a Fujikara company, introduced its Noyes M200 Micro-OTDR technology for premises and FTTx networks. Two models are offered: the M200 Quad for Tier-2 certification of mult- and single-mode premises networks, and the M200-SM, designed to test and troubleshoot FTTx and fiber optic access networks. AFL also announced the availability of Fujikura's FNP4101 Gigabit Ethernet PON (GEPON), which offers full compliance with IEEE 802.3ah. The GE-PON offers a nonlinear distortion control feature that enables RF-video overlay. Fujikura has also added a QoS features, stacked VLAN capability, more granular bandwidth control and burst capability up to 1 Gb/s.    . . .   Eospace (2561) announced enhancements to its low-loss wideband modulators and high-speed fiber optic switches, from 670-nm through 2-µm wavelengths. New improvements in modulator technology allow higher efficiency (lower VPI) operation for all types of 40-G modulators, the company said.   . . .   Lightel Technologies Inc. (2565) is introducing its CW5000 coupler workstation, which incorporates advanced features for manufacturing fused biconical taper (FBT) components and fiber tapers.   . . .   Xtellus (1112) announced its XRM family of turnkey ROADM modules. The XRM-7500, a four-port integrated module, delivers the entire suite of ROADM functionality needed to drop wavelengths, equalize or block wavelengths on the through path, add wavelengths and monitor optical power. "Xtellus is responding to requests from customers for turnkey ROADM solutions that build on the proven optical performance of our liquid crystal-based wavelength blockers," said Tom Dudley, CEO of Xtellus.
