eMagin Receives $3M Follow-On Order

Display technology provider eMagin Corp. announced that it has received a $3.1 million follow-on order for organic LED (OLED) microdisplays under an existing US Army Remote Viewer Program. Deliveries have already begun and are expected to be completed by the end of the year.

eMagin’s SVGA+ OLED-XL microdisplay was originally chosen for this program in 2008. Deliveries under the original contract began in 2009.

“This follow-on order reinforces our belief that there is a growing recognition of OLED microdisplays as a critical component for military applications that require high resolution, low power and an instant-on feature across a wide range of temperatures,” said Andrew G. Sculley, president and CEO.
