PHOTRON LIMITED Acquires AOS Technologies AG

Dec 2025PHOTRON LIMITED, a high-speed and scientific imaging company, has acquired AOS Technologies AG, a designer and manufacturer of advanced high-speed imaging systems serving automotive, aerospace, industrial, and defense markets. The acquisition, PHOTRON said, will strengthen its strategy to expand technical capabilities, accelerate innovation, and grow its presence across high-performance imaging markets.

The companies said that the acquisition opens opportunities for enhanced technology collaboration, including advanced sensor development, ruggedized imaging, and emerging high-speed optical applications. Per the deal, AOS will continue to operate from Baden-Dättwil, Switzerland, keeping its team and organizational structure in place, with separate product lines and distribution channels.

PHOTRON's portfolio also includes imaging and measurement specialist Photonic Lattice, Inc.
