The Ophir SupIR 16-80 mm f/1.2 lens from MKS is a continuous zoom lens designed for super extended graphics array uncooled long-wave infrared detectors with 10-12 µm pixels. The SupIR lens enables system integrators to deliver thermal imagery with reliable detection ranges in a compact form, suitable for small UAVs, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance payloads, and portable surveillance systems. The lens provides detection of vehicle targets at distances exceeding 8 km and supports human identification up to 0.7 km, giving operators credible mid-range performance in demanding field conditions. Its motorized zoom and focus mechanisms achieve full adjustments in ≤5 s and ≤1 s, reducing time to target and enhancing situational awareness.
