At Arden Photonics, we design and manufacture test equipment and components for measuring a range of properties of optical fibers. Our accurate and reliable products are trusted every day by some of the world’s biggest manufacturing companies. For example, our flagship Encircled Flux meter, the MPX, is used by many suppliers of optical fiber cables and VCSELs for use in the data-centers which are helping to power the internet. So whatever your measurement requirement, let us know, and we will try to help.
Fiber Geometry Measurements
The FGC range measures the dimensions of the widest range of standard and speciality fiber in both production and R&D environment. Systems available to measure fibers up to 1000 µm diameter. Gives reliable, repeatable, operator-independent results in seconds.
Optical fiber end-face inspection
The VFI range of interferometric inspection systems has been specifically designed to check the surface quality and flatness of cleaved or polished fibers. Crisp end-face images show every defect. Inspect and fringe modes to check both the flatness and end quality of a cleaved or polished fiber end with just one insertion.
Encircled Flux measurement
The MPX encircled flux meters measure modal launch conditions in real-time. The end-face inspection mode with focus indicator gives better repeatability from operator to operator. IEE, TIA and IEC standards compliant.
Modal launch condition control
The ModCon mode controller is a compact and lightweight module that will modify your LED or VCSEl light source to provide repeatable, stable and consistent EF compliant launch conditions.
