Nov 2018AHRENSBURG, Germany, Nov. 8, 2018 — Basler AG has expanded its ace U line of cameras with four new models featuring the IMX183 rolling-shutter CMOS sensor from the Sony Exmor R series.

The cameras offer a resolution of 20 MP with a sensor size of 1 in. and a compact design with a 29- × 29-mm footprint. This combination makes the four new ace U models particularly attractive for inspection of the finest structures, such as in printed circuit board or display production. Constant increases in the resolution of modern displays require ever-higher resolutions in the inspecting camera. These four camera models feature Basler’s PGI feature set for color and monochrome cameras, which corrects unwanted artifacts, providing users with a particularly good image evaluation at the pixel level. The back-illuminated sensor technology of the Sony IMX183 provides high sensitivity and low noise at a small pixel size of 2.4 µm.

All four ace U cameras are available with proven GigE and USB 3.0 interfaces and include the feature set PGI, a unique combination of 5 × 5 debayering, color antialiasing, denoising, and improved sharpness.More products
